The Escape is a comfortable, stylish one-bedroom annex for two adults at Cleave Farm, tucked among farmland and ancient woodland on the North Cornwall coast. With a private patio, birdsong and starlit skies, it is a peaceful place to unwind and a welcoming base for walkers.
Your stay
Settle into the king-size bedroom, freshen up in the shower room and relax in the open-plan kitchen and sitting room, with views over the garden and woodland. A sofa bed offers an alternative sleeping arrangement for the two guests, and underfloor heating throughout keeps the annex cosy all year round.
The kitchen includes an induction hob, microwave, air fryer and toaster. Please note that there is no oven or dishwasher. Breakfast and supper options may be available for you to prepare or warm up during your stay; please ask for details.
Time outdoors
Your private slate patio has a table and chairs for relaxed meals, quiet mornings and evenings beneath the stars. Enjoy views towards the ancient woodland, spring wildflowers and the sounds of birdsong.
The rugged South West Coast Path is just three minutes’ walk away. Follow it to Crackington Haven in under an hour, or reach the beach in around six minutes by car. One-night stays are available during high season, making The Escape a useful stop for coast path walkers.
Explore North Cornwall
Cleave Farm feels wonderfully secluded while being within easy reach of Cornwall’s coast and countryside. Bude and its beaches are around 20 minutes’ drive away, Tintagel Castle around 30 minutes and Port Isaac around 40 minutes. The wild Cornish moors are also around 20 minutes away.

Part of Cleave Farm Cottages
Our family has lived at Cleave Farm since 1977 and welcomed returning holiday guests for decades. The Escape has its own story too: the space once housed our horse, Pebbles.
The farm is reached along a mile-long lane and is home to permanent residents and other holiday accommodation. The Escape is attached to our home, with the whole annex and its private patio yours to enjoy. Our other cottages are Abel’s Cottage, sleeping six, and Cleave Cottage, sleeping four.
